Windows 365

Windows 365 is a new cloud service by Microsoft that takes the operating system to the Microsoft Cloud and securely streams the full Windows 10 or Window 11 experience – including all apps, data, and settings – to personal or corporate devices easily. The ability to access a virtualized Windows desktop through a web browser is new with Windows 365 ,So is the ability to run a virtualized version of Windows on any PC or mobile device—including Apple’s Mac, iPad and iPhone devices, as well as on Android and Linux devices. (Along with HTML browsers, Windows 365 can also be accessed through the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.)

In terms of security, Windows 365 works with Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory identity authentication service, multi-factor authentication (MFA) and the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint security solution,

Windows 365, that will be available this month, comes in two tiers: business and enterprise. Microsoft offers the enterprise tier as an alternative to a company-managed PC. It sells the business tier to individuals and small businesses that purchase computers from retailer such as Best Buy.

The service is built on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD – the new name for Windows Virtual Desktop), but is offered as a per-user, per-month pricing that Microsoft says simplifies the virtualization experience.
